About GFXAttack

Posted on

GFXattack.com was a Design community where I learned a lot of useful skills for Graphic Design. The kinds of skills that helped me when creating my artwork on: https://www.deviantart.com/zyraxtarenor

and on: https://www.deviantart.com/zyraxcomics/gallery/all

Someday, I might turn GFXAttack back into a thriving design community. The people I met and the way we helped each others grow through the contests and the mentorships were just amazing.

There have now been 20 YEARS of GFXAttack.com (2006 all the way to 2026)

Florin Muresan has taken it over and it’s now a place for Gaming, Car Culture, Comic Books, Anime, Cosplay, Otaku.

You can see the categories here.

The comic books and the style for Zyrax Comics (by Florin Muresan) are actually the results of lessons he’s learned back in 2006 from GFX Attack and the members back then.

It slowly becomes more than a tribute to what it once was, and we’re now getting many passionate gamers reading the site and the articles on it, so we hope we can keep providing things that people genuinely love.

Florin Muresan has a popular 90 Days Growth Program to help websites get out of obscurity. Click the banner above to learn more about the Sillicon Valley clients he’s worked with.

Florin also makes music with BT x io. Check out the music project here.

GFX Attack colors and branding guidelines:

#FD6B44 coral where the orange was, #61CE70 green where the purple was.

#61CE70

#10231A, purely as a background

The subline shifted to a lighter green tint (#9BE3A6 on dark, #3F9E55 on light) for the same reason.

Worth knowing: green on white is a fairly low-contrast pairing, so the ATTACK half of the light-background version reads softer than the coral half. If it looks washed out on your site, a darker green like #2E9E45 for the type — keeping #61CE70 for the card mark
